Environment
The products are processed with the utmost care in accordance with European guidelines. We aim for the reuse of the entire product or its components. Otherwise, the products are fully recycled to recover valuable raw materials for reuse in new products. This ensures that no harmful substances end up in the environment.

Of course, it's important that all (business-sensitive) data from the devices is completely removed. Ecowave offers various options for this purpose. In addition to the standard options of resetting to factory settings, we also provide certified tools (used by NATO, among others) to erase the data, for which you will receive a certificate for each device.
Reuse over recycling
In sustainable waste and return flows, recycling is often automatically associated. However, according to the well-known "Ladder of Lansink", reuse always takes precedence. Devices that may be outdated for your company typically still have a technological lifespan of 3 to 4 years.
Ecowave processes the devices according to the agreements made and applies strict selection criteria when choosing between reuse and recycling. This ensures that the process is less burdensome on the environment. With the products that can be reused, we help people in less prosperous parts of the world. A significant portion of the devices finds their way to countries that are still developing. Your old devices thus contribute to the growth of the economy there.
Products that are no longer suitable for reuse are collected and batch-wise offered to our recycling partner, where they are professionally dismantled. Approximately 95% of these materials can be recovered for reuse in newly produced products. Mobile phones consist of many different raw materials such as rare metals and minerals like cobalt and coltan. These are just two of the many raw materials that make up a mobile phone.
